Happy New year 2019!

Posted on

Happy New Year to all of our friends!!
Once again we have fronted the truth that we are getting 1 year older and we made it! so let’s celebrate 🎉
Yeah its really amazing how it was really to grow older in this world where no one can predict at breakfast if they can again have it next morning! If we made it, we must be really very lucky one so we have right to celebrate for it!
Hey what am I telling you here actually sounds like a very negative person but believe me I am not. Somehow I just decided to tell the truth which I have in my mind for long but being a positive attitude towards life I never had spoken a loud about it. But why am I telling it loud all of a sudden? What just happened? Are not we are happy and leading a very peaceful life!!
Again another New Year coming and making us 1 year more matured, may be if we do not think over it now, then when? We just need to bring smile around, is it too difficult to ask?
Dear friends, Just look around, most of us are not happy at all but if we do a bit , its not so difficult to make this world a beautiful place where we can easily feel happy and make others happy. How it is possible? It’s very easy, just go out and help just one person who is not happy today and ask him to another one person . If you help him to bring his smile back then this world would be really a better place to live in. Please do it now. Do not wait for anyone, any longer. It’s the only way to welcome a New year! I am doing. Will you?
Let’s be a volunteer to bring smile around the world. Take care.
Happy New Year 2019!!

True Story of backpackers true Strength

Posted on Updated on

It’s another day at our Street Children India Teaching Project with (Volunteer in India) We had started our activities as usual. A group of youth backpackers in Kolkata with SMILE Society, Kolkata but from the beginning we found one of our kid ( Mijanoor,11 yrs. Old boy) was sitting quietly aside unlike any other days!By the way Mijanoor is a 11 yrs old abandoned boy ,living alone on the street ! Although he normally looks depressed some times but very determined and strong child usually. He was coming in our project for last few weeks . He do not listen to everyone loves to play a lot !
Well now again go back to that day ….. We noticed him bit unusual (unlike him !) and asked him couple of times if he was fine but got no clear answer from him! He sometimes behave bit careless though, We got busy with other kids ,just wanted to gave him a bit of space for himself. Projects were going fine suddenly noticed that Mijanoor got unconscious and banging his head and body parts on floor, making sounds !! We were so worried !! We had no idea about his any sickness earlier . He was in our project for last few weeks ,never got any hints about it ! Its so shocking for all of us, we tried to help in our way , asked the people from the community to help us !! By that moment we understood that he was suffering from ‘Epilepsy’ . We were trying our best to help him to got back to normal ! Tried to gave him a free space to air come in,splashing water on his face and help him to lay down .Local community people had their old believe and ideas which they used but we some how managed to gave the boy a bit space from the local people . None of these people had any idea about the seriousness of the situation . Finally he got back his consciousness ,slowly when he became normal we gave him glucose, hot milk . It was such an experience !!
In the meantime from our office support arrived and helped the kid which was such a big help
We wanted to bring Mijanoor to Smile House but the boy was really determined not to come with us as he was feeling fine by that time.
Next day we went and call all mothers and sisters of the neighborhood and gave them some classes about Epilepsy ( do’s and don’t). If something happen like this happen again with anyone in the community ,they know what to do .
We felt so happy to find the boy getting proper attention but one thing we learned on that day even though these kids are living in such poorly condition, hardly get education, health care, cloth food. Living alone on street and fighting for their existence but having such self respect. He was a strong character indeed!!
In normal world people looking for short cut opportunities and better life for anything but here these kids ready to fight against their present situation by themselves with smiling faces just need our affection and guidance to help them. Volunteer teaching India. From SMILE on that day afternoon we had sent him to hospital for his treatment ,although there is no such permanent solution for this disease!
From couple of days later Mijanoor again joined us at the project and behaved normal as usual.
Every next day we come to know different new kids and their lives ! We feel so sorry for them and found us so fortunate to have a better life ! It is us who got better life should come forward and join in this project to help them to got back their life ! Together we can make their life much better .
It is really necessary to have many volunteers to come forward and help all these cutest kids on the earth !! We are trying to give my best ,will you ready to help them ?? Join
